Reflection,Rotation & Translation - Maths

 For Maths today Rm 11 had to watch a video about Tessellation Maths ! So I did IXL and I learnt a lot of things like:

Reflection - Flips the figure over the line

Rotation - Turns the figure around the point

Translation - Slides the figure to a different location

I find it a bit tricky because it gets confusing for me ! But as long as I keep practicing i reckon I can smash this off !

BrainBreak - 30 Day Photography

 For this Challenge we had a tasks to do and we had to take photos of how snails see us and other kinds of things ! I have missed out of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so I decided to catch up on all and finish it since I have finished my work early.

Cybersmart Challenge - Ready for Google Meets

 For this activity I had to list down facts about why we had to do this and that during a Google Meet with our class ! When I'm in our class Google Meets Miss Tupou always encourages us to talk with our mic on so When we first started lockdown this year I was a bit too shy to talk with my mic on but now I'm confident and Im used to talking with my mic on but sometimes I just forget to turn it on ! Miss Tupou always tells the students who have their camera off to turn it on too and I think the Camera one is important so The Teacher can see our face !

Maths Home Learning - Day 3

 

For This week in the math group I am in we are learning about Place Value Partitioning. And I have learnt a lot from the video I watched about this and now I am happy that I find it easy. On the Right side of the picture it is how I worked out my answers and in the video there was a strategy that we had to add the closest number to a whole tidy number ! And then the other set of numbers we had to takeaway it by how much we added to make a whole number for example 62.4 + 13.9 = So I have to find the closest number to a tidy whole number and it 13.9 so I add 1 and that equals 14.0 then I takeaway 1 from 62.4 which equals 62.3 then I add 14.0 + 62.3 which equals 76.3 . So thats how you do it and if you need help even more search it up on YouTube or ask a family member ?

Literacy Home Learning

For Literacy today I chose from one of the top ten Summer Learning tasks and I wanted to make my own insect out of leaves ! It was kind of hard but i managed to get through it. When I went outside I didn't know what to pick from so I didn't want to get too much because my parent always told me not to play with leaves too much because some of them maybe Poisonous so I got some leaves from our Plumb tree that barely has some plumbs on it but a lot of leaves. And that was also the reason why I named it Green Plumb Insect is because how most of the leaves are from plumbs and its GREEN !

Maths Home Learning

For Math today the Group i'm in we had to watch a video to learn how to solve the questions . I've learnt from the video how to add for example 3.9 + 5.6 ... It was fun because i know how to do it and if I have to solve a question like that I would know how to solve it.

Also Please stay at home and Unite Against Covid Stay Safe :)

Literacy Home Learning !

 Today for our Literacy I did an activity about coloring and I colored a painting that was already painted but I colored it with another copy but with my own creative colors and bends. It was fun and it was quite hard picking what color I should do but i finally got through it !! Hope you enjoy my piece of art I re-colored.

Cybersmart Challenge Home Learning

 Today for Cybersmart I had to complete 3 posters , The first challenge is there are blank areas and i need to fill them up in the right order with the random answers on the side ! It was fun and  I enjoyed working on it.

The Second activity was similar but it was about how we should take care of our Chromebooks.

And For the last activity it was about Responsible use agreement and yes I do agree !!

Maths Home Learning

 

For Home learning Maths today I did a activity called the Park Planting It as a bit hard but I got through at the end. For Maths I worked together with Sar Ya Chan and we were video calling on the phone and we were talking about the problems and SYC even taught me how to do long division.

For our second activity I solved 9 problems by using the number line and its way easier and it works. 

Values Song - Literacy Home Learning

 

For Literacy today I picked an Activity where we have to make our own chorus and it was a idea from Mangere College  because they made a beautiful song that had a positive meaning which is called WE WILL RISE ! What does rise up mean to you ?

So I made my own chorus and its about our GTS values which is F.I.R.E

I used a instrumental sound from a song called 2nd guess by Emily King and its a beautiful song about Regrets and life but I changed the words into my own and I used the chorus...
