Boxing

On Mondays The middle and senior syndicate had kiwi sport and it was boxing. We learnt about their values and how we are suppose to behave when we are inside her classes. We learnt how to punch and how to balance in a wall. Room 9 had so much fun and we are looking forward to the other 5 weeks! 

Puberty

Today Glen Taylor School had visitors come over to talk about our bodies and how they grow and how girls start to get period and all sorts of things like that. I think it is important to know what is going to happen to your body when you grow up so we don't get scared if something happens because it is normal. For some people it is awkward to talk about it but it is best if you learn about it like at grade 5,6,7 and 8 because you will know what to do when you grow up. So thank you for the visitors who came I appreciate it and you made me very confident in myself.

Day out!

Yesterday me and my family had a day out. So for us a day out is when we go as a family to one place and do our own things and when we are lost we just go to find them. Me my brother and sister went together as a group then my mum and dad went together as a group to buy what they want! So me and my family went to Sylvia Park and me and my brother got some burgers and my sister got some new shoes and the same as my brother. I had so much fun but my legs were hurting from walking around!

Toi Toi Book reward!

On Friday the 26th it was the student leaders assembly. And we had 2 special guest come in to present the toi toi book awards for the kids that has there wonderful stories written inside the toi toi book. First up she called Benjamin Kava to go up and get his award then she called Lexiannah huch to get her award and lucky last she called up Kelepi. So Well Done and Keep Up The Good Work!

Gardening

Today me and a buddy went with Mrs Halina to help her with gardening. So we pulled out the ts out some wheat just to make our garden clean and tidy for visitors to see. Then we pulled out some vegetables and went to the staff room just to put it there. It was fun and I want to do gardening again!

Science Exhibition

Welcome New Teachers!

In Glen Taylor School we have two new teachers. The new teacher in room 12 is Mr Niks and the other new teacher in room 4 is Mrs Dormehl so welcome and I hope you have a wonderful time in Glen Taylor School!

Science Board

In Room 9 our topic in school is Science and for Science we have Science boards. So our class designed a science board in groups and the science boards are about cows and milk so this is my little group is science board hope you enjoy!

Lion King

Circus!

On the holidays me and my family went to the Weber Brothers Circus at Manukau. It was really interesting and fun looking at people flipping and clowns doing magic tricks and it was really fun. My favorite part in the circus was when the two couples were changing so fast into there clothes. also I enjoyed the globe of death and that is when the motorbikes ride inside a globe and it is really awesome and exciting!

50th Birthday

Today me and my family went to my uncle is 50th birthday at Avon dale. I had so much fun at his birthday and happy birthday to the people with birthdays today!

Goodbye!

Yesterday was the day that we had to say our farewells to Miss Nicola and Mrs Namburi. Thank you for all the good things you did for Glen Taylor school we will miss you i hope you enjoyed your time with us and we love yous. GOODBYE!

I got a warriors T - Shirt

On the last day of school i got a warriors t - shirt for helping people and encouraging them on the fun run and i would like to say thank you to my teacher,principal and deputy principal for giving this reward to me. I am so proud of myself !

Kapa Haka - Matariki

Today the Kapa Haka group went to Stone field school to perform for Matariki! We learnt about the 7 sisters and what they do we had so much fun at the performance. Thanks to Whaea Binny & Whaea Ann for teaching us and also Matua Jordan.

LAST WEEK!

This is the last week of school for kids in primary and college and it is a pleasure being at school but now we have a to week holiday so i like to say thank you to the teachers and have a good holiday.

I am back!

On Tuesday 25th I went on a trip to Sydney in Australia for my uncle is wedding. My top thing I did in Australia is when we met our family and went to the restaurant. The most thing I did not enjoy was that I was not allowed to go with my older cousins shopping I so I stayed home with my brother and other cousin. The saddest thing that happened when went there is saying goodbye to my cousins and family. It was really cold there so we had to use a lot of puffy blankets I had lots of fun there especially going on the plane and watching movies and I ant to go to Australia again!
