For Tech today we were learning about the different types of cooking tools that we use in the kitchen ! , we then discussed about what we will be cooking next week Wednesday !! and we will be cooking Macaroni & Cheese.
But for our work today we had to name the type of tool and then write down how we use it and how we are suppose to wash or take care of it.
For one of our task today Rm 11 had to pick a video that we wanted to watch that included the legends and history about us Pacific Islanders !
I wanted to watch the video "Poi Explained" it was two sisters who were explaining the meaning of the Poi and why its so important in the Maori Culture!
I learnt that Poi's were first used by men back in the days and they used the Poi to strengthen their wrist when they would spin it around ! then years later the Poi was passed down to the Women .

For Niuean Language week day 4 ! Rm 11 had to do a Ven-Diagram about the difference between the Niue Basket Weaving and a culture you pick or even your own culture . It was a bit tricky for me to discover a Tongan Basket weaving video so I came across a Video with some beautiful Cook Islanders weaving a basket !

In Rm 11 we had to do a writing task about our Life ! So we had to read a piece of writing about their life written by a ex student Wint & a fun fact is that Wints piece of writing got published onto Toitoi books. Here is my writing to my Life.
Today in Tech class we had a challenge to make our Mbot go in a 8 shape ! It was hard but fun at the end because we had races with each other.
We had to do a lot of different coding and it was so competitive because we were all trying our best to be the first at making our Mbot turn into a 8 shape.
Here is my progress i did with my Robotics class.
On Monday the Seniors had the privilege to go on a Trip to the Cloud ! We did different activities with the workers, We met a Olympian who competed in the Olympics in 2012 for boxing and her name was Alexis Pritchard.
I learnt a lot of things like How to say Awesome in Japanese ! It was a fun and interesting experiment, so Thank you to the Workers and the guest Alexis who made our half day fun.

Koko Alaisa is a Samoan traditional Dish that Samoans eat for Breakfast or Tea. This Dish has important ingredients such as Koko Samoa, Rice & Coconut Cream. Its Easy and its really delicous!! Yesterday In Room 11 we made Chocolate Hedgehogs to celebrate Easter ! Making Chocolate Hedgehogs is real easy but it can get a bit too messy . We were put into groups so we can have 2 at a time in the Kitchen and my group and another group were one of the first to start making the Chocolate Hedgehog Easter eggs. When we got it out of the freezer it was real blocked up so we let it sit for a bit so it can be a bit easier to slice up , My group went and gave our Principal a try because yeah he thinks hes the best at everything so we went and he had a taste and he thought it was Delicious but he still thinks that his Hedgehog slices are better !!! :)
I want to thank Miss Tupou for giving us the opportunity to cook in Term 1 !

For this Challenge we had a tasks to do and we had to take photos of how snails see us and other kinds of things ! I have missed out of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so I decided to catch up on all and finish it since I have finished my work early.

For This week in the math group I am in we are learning about Place Value Partitioning. And I have learnt a lot from the video I watched about this and now I am happy that I find it easy. On the Right side of the picture it is how I worked out my answers and in the video there was a strategy that we had to add the closest number to a whole tidy number ! And then the other set of numbers we had to takeaway it by how much we added to make a whole number for example 62.4 + 13.9 = So I have to find the closest number to a tidy whole number and it 13.9 so I add 1 and that equals 14.0 then I takeaway 1 from 62.4 which equals 62.3 then I add 14.0 + 62.3 which equals 76.3 . So thats how you do it and if you need help even more search it up on YouTube or ask a family member ?
So for our activity we had to make a video of us lip syncing the song, dancing to it or more I chose to dance to it !!! SO I GOT ON TIKTOK AND SEARCHED UP THE DANCE then I did It !!!!!

For Literacy Today I chose to do a activity from the top ten in summer learning journey and I wanted to do the Coloring activity. It was fun to color it in but it was hard to find which color that goes together with this and that but I managed to get through.
