Baking Banana Muffins

 Last night me and my Aunty decided to cook some Banana Muffins for the first time ! 

Before that night we Called our other Aunty who was a good cook & she is really good at cooking things such as muffins and deserts ! She then told us her recipe so we can follow through while we bake .

It was actually easy but the dishes part wasn’t ! We baked the banana muffins and got my Papa to try them out first and he said it’s good especially for our first. Time attempting to do this. 

It was so fun and the end results were good !!

Technology in Lockdown !

 For Tech today we were learning about the different types of cooking tools that we use in the kitchen ! , we then discussed about what we will be cooking next week Wednesday !! and we will be cooking Macaroni & Cheese.

But for our work today we had to name the type of tool and then write down how we use it and how we are suppose to wash or take care of it.

 For LCS today Rm 11 had to answer some questions that relates to our culture & Identity ! But the Questions were under a topic which was MUSIC !

Poi Explained

 For one of our task today Rm 11 had to pick a video that we wanted to watch that included the legends and history about us Pacific Islanders !

I wanted to watch the video "Poi Explained" it was two sisters who were explaining the meaning of the Poi and why its so important in the Maori Culture!

I learnt that Poi's were first used by men back in the days and they used the Poi to strengthen their wrist when they would spin it around ! then years later the Poi was passed down to the Women .

Weave a Basket in Niue !

 For Niuean Language week day 4 ! Rm 11 had to do a Ven-Diagram about the difference between the Niue Basket Weaving and a culture you pick or even your own culture . It was a bit tricky for me to discover a Tongan Basket weaving video so I came across a Video with some beautiful Cook Islanders weaving a basket !

Here is my VenDiagram about the difference and the similarities between Niue and Cook Islands Basket Weaving.

Day 3 of Niuean Language week !

 Fakalofa Lahi atu everyone ! today for Niuean Language week Rm 11 had to re-write our story about the  Legend of Tokamotua of Tuapa . Here is my explanation of the story and what i came up with ! Hope you all learnt something from it.

Maths Tessellation

 For Maths today we had a task called "Tiling" for this task we had to firgure out if a hexagon & a Square can make a Tessellation ! It was kind of tricky trying to figure is out but a pattern just clicked inside my mind but i dont really know if it counts as a Tessellation pattern !!

Reflection,Rotation & Translation - Maths

 For Maths today Rm 11 had to watch a video about Tessellation Maths ! So I did IXL and I learnt a lot of things like:

Reflection - Flips the figure over the line

Rotation - Turns the figure around the point

Translation - Slides the figure to a different location

I find it a bit tricky because it gets confusing for me ! But as long as I keep practicing i reckon I can smash this off !

Listen 2 Reading

For Listen 2 reading , I listened to a young father telling us his story about his son having a condition called Autism. 

The father was so shocked he didn’t want to believe it , but he stayed strong and stuck with his son! 

It’s a good experience to watch somethings like this because some people like to tease others because they’re so quick to judge !!

Listen 2 Reading

 Today for listen 2 reading ( Home learning edition ) , I listened to a book called " The Library Lion " This book is about a wonderful lion who was always helpful in the library and always looked forward to Reading time ! 

He always helped the librarian and one day his librarian was hurt , so the Lion went and called for help so we broke one rule just to help save the librarian !

Cycle bike safety !

 On Monday Rm 11 went after morning tea for a Cycle bike session with our teacher. We learnt how to bike safely with each other and we did a challenge with us students biking with out our peddles to see who can go the farrest !!
