Plants

At Tech we learnt about plants and we had to make a collage and blog about it! . I made a collage about my plants at home and took photos outside of my house where different types of plants were. Thanks to Mrs Sharma I learnt more about them!

MY LITERACY SHED WRITING!!

Today for Daily 5 I was doing Work On Writing and I picked a topic from Literacy Shed and wrote about it and I asked Mrs Fonua if she can Check it and she said it was Good! . This is a rhyming poem and hopefully you can figure out what I was writing about! .

Bucket Drumming

Today me and Jane was soon to be told that we were in a Drumming group in G.T.S called bucket Drumming but it was named Bucket Boys but since me and Jane is the only girl we had to change the name! . So the boys came up with a name which is "THE POLYNESIAN DRUMMERS". I enjoyed having a meeting with the bucket drummers, And thanks to Mr Sok and the Boys for letting me and Jane in the group! :)

Sugar Experiment (Tech)

Today was the first day back at tech for Term 3! . It was a bad day today because it was raining very badly so that meant that we had to walk in the rain to Tech. Me,Jane,Faiana,Ngwe Sin and Danait walked together because it was not raining but on our way to Tech when we were halfway it was raining my clothes were damp but lucky I had a rain jacket on!.

For Tech today we learnt about Sugary things and how much teaspoons or tablespoons of sugar there are in Fizzy Drinks, Lollies and Juices. 

There were three types of sugars we learnt about which was:
1. Glucose - Normal Sugar (White Sugar)
2. Lactose -  Milk 
3. Fructose - Is the sugar in Fruit Drinks or lollies

Then we did a Experiment: 

Equipment - Fire Butane, Coke, Meter Cup, and a cage thing for to place the cup on!

Aim - We were trying to turn the coke into sugar by boiling the coke by a Fire Butane

Method - First we lit up the Fire Butane by connecting it to a gas pipe (Our Teacher did it). Then we added 50ml of coke into the meter cup. Finally we placed it on top of a cage thing that helped hold the cup! . Then the coke was boiling

Results - Our group is results was a SUCCESS which means the coke boiled and was completely SUGAR! . It smelt like Candy Floss but burnt, the sugar was so hard Miss Sharma had to boil it with Vinegar!!

Word Work

For daily 5 today I did Word Work and blogging is part of my activity so I am doing it right now but i will be blogging about my word work! . I managed to finish off 2 activities which were Capitals Only and that is when I write all the spelling words for Week 1 in Capitals. Then I did another activity which I had to make a  story including the spelling words in it!

This is a Friendship Book Room 13 students did and it was about ourselves and this is my one!

Maths Scavenger Hunt

Today we had to do a Maths Scavenger Hunt which included taking photos! . My favorite photo we took was the Pyramid one because we actually did a Pyramid like we were cheerleaders!. Our first activity was A triangle and we made a triangle with books, Then a Sphere so we got a shot of us throwing a all then there was more! . ENJOY

PB4L GOALS

Today Room 13 had to make a poster or a slide about each of our goals we would like to reach in Term 3! . ALSO WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL EVERYONE!! . I got a little message that i put up on my poster which was

"Great Things Come from Hard work and perseverance. NO EXCUSES!!" - KOBE BRYANT . 

Remember in everything you do that you think is challenging go for it try your best and Never give up but most of all NO EXCUSES!!

Going Kelly Tarltons

Yesterday me and my Papatoetoe Family went to Kelly Tarltons. It was so Fun witnessing Penguins, Sharks and contrasting types of sea creatures. My favorite part in Kelly Tarltons was when we got on a loop escalator ride that goes into tunnels where you can glimpse and spot different kinds of sea animals even we got to do a tiktok on it!.

They are so kind and they motivate us to learn faster and to be confident! . One thing I learnt that was really important is NO EXCUSES just like the BBM members said. During this whole term of term 2 we got to learn 3 new Kapa Haka Songs. And if you are in

Hanging out with my mums Friends

Yesterday I wanted to go out with my mum and her friends from high school in Tonga! . It was so cold but worth it. I was the only child there even though my mum friends had kids but they didn't wanna come. My mum friend made Cheese cakes my favourite one was the cookie and cream one. Me and my mum made Potato salad with crab salad! . It was cool meeting my mum friends, But there was one girl that was there but she was already University and her name was Salote and her mother was my mum's BFF!

My Baby Cousin

This is my Baby Cousin and his name is Sione Fetu'u Anitoni! . His dad is brothers with my dad so that means he is my first cousin. He was born this year but he already looks 1. He lives in Australia so I haven't seen him in real life only in pictures!!
