Working with my Principal & Deputy Principal
This is my work during the holidays. I enjoyed working with my peers and Mr Herlihy and Ms Wrack if it wasn't for both of yous my holidays would be really boring so thank you!
My work here is about what I did this week and how I make things on my slide so it could be creative! my favourite work was when we were doing the dragon poems because I just thought of the poem and BOOM! published it onto a slide also I enjoyed doing the Largest Mountains and rivers work because it was interesting doing researching about the places!
Hope you guys learn something from it and Stay home and save lives!
Leading by Example
My random act of kindness was with me and my sister. When our new neighbors moved in and they are Indian. We didn't know them until we went to them! so they have a little kid and he is so cute. We went to there house and for Christmas we got a big cookie packet chocolate and a letter with 5 dollars inside it for the little boy to enjoy for his Christmas. The family were so shocked they even gave us a present for Christmas!
And do what Aunt Lucy (Paddington 2) said "if we are kind and polite the world will be right"
HUMANITARIAN HEROES
I couldn't do much of my voice because my house it so loud but this is my way of when I have a idea up in my mind!
This is my way of helping whats your way?
Wise Words
My Role models are my two aunts Catherine & Elizabeth Tupou because they strive to succeed in there own ways and it goes through a good example for me and my siblings. I haven't asked my aunts yet because of the lockdown but there is always something they say that really thinks me through. Someday when you are naughty to our parents someone is a tale tail and when they tell the people that we are scared of (apart from our parents) they get angry. And my aunts they make us cry but they don't harm us because there super kind but with there words and eyes some how and when my aunts say To be good to our parents and obey them we just burst into tears but yeah that's what they like to remind my sibling (especially me and my sister) but we get a good lesson into our minds and it is to be good and obey our parents!
Celebrating Diversity
For my group I picked the Aboriginal Australian group and they are the ones who are related to those who already inhabited Australia when Britain began colonizing the islands in 1788. Aboriginal Australia could be the oldest population in the whole world even though they live outside of Africa. My uncle and aunt from Australia got my cousin a boomerang for Christmas and we were reading the piece of paper and it said that a group of Aboriginal people designed and made the boomerang and we thought that it was so cool!
If you were a Aboriginal how important would it be for you?

The Right to an Education
This activity is about me because for the work it said to write any story and I picked my paragraph to be about me! Because I was reading with sadness because this young lady got shot in and because in Pakistan women/girls weren't encouraged. Like they didn't go to school or have support like Malala Yousafzai!
School Strike for Climate Change

The vote
For this activity, let’s imagine that the government decides to create a new $10 bank note and replace Kate with a picture of a different New Zealand woman.
On your blog, tell us who you think the government should put on the new $10 note. Please provide us with a picture of this amazing woman and a short explanation of why you have selected her as Kate Sheppard’s replacement.
Jean Batten was an famous pilot who was born in Rotorua New Zealand. She became the best Nz pilot in the 1930's! She was the first solo pilot to fly from England to New Zealand and I picked her because she was really famous.

I have a dream
This is about Rosa Parks and what her story is about what she did in a bus. She sadly died at the age of 92! it was sad reading the story because the white people and the black were not bonding very well. Rosa Parks was on a bus and the white people were suppose to be at the front of the bus but one day Rosa Parks refused to move so the bus driver got her into prison!
Taking Action
For this activity, please imagine that you are Mr Mandela and that you are living at Robben Island prison. You have been given a journal and each night you write in it.
On your blog, write a journal entry imagining that you are Mr Mandela. What do you think he did each day? How did he feel? Include as much detail as you can in the journal entry.
It was hard hearing what Nelson went through!
My Letter to Jacinda Ardern
For this activity, please write a letter that includes the issue you have chosen, why you have chosen it, and what you would like our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, to do about it. It is your job to persuade us (and her!) that it’s an important issue.
On your blog, share your letter to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

Swimming to Safety
For this activity, listen to the podcast of Yusra Mardini, or read her story on her personal website.
On your blog, retell the story of this amazing young woman from Syria.
Once upon a time there was a talented swimmer Yusra Mardini. Yusra wasn't much of a fan of swimming, when Yusra's mates would be swimming she would be standing on the side trying to look at the bottom of the pool. When Yusra thought of getting into the swimming pool her heart beat was beating fast. But it didn't mean that she was scared she was eager to get in the pool Step by step she was brave to dip her toes and sank her head into the water. And finally she was swimming not just swimming but keenly swimming. Her father and older sister trained Yusra really well because she was winning competitions. Yusra wasn't afraid of the water because she could barely remember how she was scared a long time ago, now the pool is her favourite place because she imagines that she has been teleport-ed to another dimension. When Yusra always swims all she could hear was the noise of her heart beat, swimming made her not worry about her problems. When Yusra was 13 she had difficulty that even swimming couldn't help. Her country was at WAR! Yusra's country president Asar didn't want there government to be a dimarcrisy. People gathered in the streets and the government killed them by shooting them all. Brave people protested and violence got bad, by the time Yusra was 13 the government changed into a full blown civil war. Yusra and her family listened to bad news every single day because people were dying. The fighting hit Yusra's neighbor hood and it was bad her and her family could hear machine guns shooting everywhere. One day Yusra and her dad were walking to the gym so Yusra can train and do some swimming lessons but when they have arrived her and her dad saw gun shooting holes on the ceiling of the building making dust fall into Yusra's pool. Yusra's mum had a plan to well Yusra's mum was explaining they could see her tears rolling down her face. So she had some relatives giving a offer to take Yusra and her older sister with them on a dangerous trip to Europe. It was unclear for Yusra because they would go everywhere with the whole family but it was only her and her older sister's turn to go out by them selves. And they were depending on them both, they went on the boat travelling they went further until the motor of the boat broke down because the limit of the boat was 14 but they went over and took 20 people. Only 4 of them could swim including the 2 sisters Yusra and her older sister. The four of them pushed and tried hard to look for shore so they can end up on that island. Yusra saw a little boy on shore younger than her own little sister so she tried making the little boy laugh so he doesn't think that they're going to die. The 4 have been pulling and pulling the rope until they saw land all of there feet were so saw and they were struggling but never gave up. When they finally made it to shore which was North the 4 swimmers fell straight away to the ground. They went from country to country trying to cross borders, they all went to the destination by surviving and being brave. Yursa found a swimming club at the area and decided to sign up so she did. And the best thing was that the club was one of the best swimming clubs in the area. Yursa was the best swimmer and she had won a lot of medals. She is now a proud Olympian! And her future is what she had wished all along so the moral of this story is to chase your dreams and be in it to win it!
Card Flicking
Last night me and my brother made ourselves a new game.
Step 1. have a pile of cards in your hand.
Step 2. Put your middle finger under the one card then put the two fingers on the sides on the top of the card.
Step 3. Then with the finger next to your pinky flick that finger down and the card will fly in the air.
Step 4. You must have a partner!
Step 5. face opposite to each other and one person has to flick the pile of cards to you one by one.
Step 6. The partner that has no cards has to try and catch the card that the other partner is flicking.
Then count them all together and think of a point to end at and me and my brothers was 25 and we both got up to 24 and we made the cards rain and the first person to catch it wins!
The Pictures are in order of how it's supposed to look.

Quarantine
Today I'm sitting on the couch trying to be active because I can't go anywhere. All I do is read my chapter books and I've red Tom Gate's (What Monster?), David Williams (Midnight Gang), Meet the Vampire sons, Smile and Lydia I have enjoyed all the books I have been reading. After reading I wait until it's 3:00 o'clock because a exercise programme comes on called Les mills fitness and me and my mum loves to do it all the time after her work because she works at Leader where they make the food for Paknsave and some other supermarkets. During the Lockdown we cleaned a lot everyday like cutting down some tree's that are getting too big and doing the laundry. I miss my school so much because I have fun there and I see my school mates. I wonder when lockdown is finished if we are allowed to hug?. If the lockdown didn't happen I would be sleeping at church because we have a Easter church programme called Apitanga. Apitanga is my favourite church celebration because we get to cooperate more with our church mates. In Apitanga we basically go through what Jesus went through on Easter for example when he didn't eat for so long we don't eat. Also our White Sunday is cancelled and that couldn't of been my special day because it was on my birthday!.
But when we are in lockdown at the end of the day it's keeping everyone safe because you know it's better safe then sorry!

Face Timing Mr Herlihy & Ms Wrack #Lockdown Legends😁
Today I got on an email saying... To meet the Larrikin Leaders on a facetime. I enjoyed seeing my Principal (Mr Herlihy) and my Deputy Principal (Ms Wrack). It was quite funny seeing them in the bath. Mr Herlihy was putting a lot of soap into his hair and saying that Ms Wrack looks just like his Grandmother. It was really good to see my school mates and hear there voices because I miss school so much! It was really funny because 1. Mr Herlihy was at the same location as Ms Wrack like they were both in a bath. 2. Mr Herlihy was wearing a cap and an eye mask.
Stay safe and remember to wash your hands Kia Kaha.
Sorry if you weren't ready!

Against the odds
This is my work from summer learning journey and I looked at other peoples blogs and they used there work on google draw and I liked it so i wanted to do it.
Worth her Weight in Gold
For this activity, imagine that you were asked to create a travel brochure for Tonga (or a country that is important to you). On the brochure, include lots of great tips about what to see and do in the country.
On your blog, post your finished copy of your brochure.
I would go to Tonga because that's my homeland and if I had to see somewhere I would go and see my Grandparents, My dad's mum is grave and see the Ha'amonga. And if I had to do something there I would go to the Anahulu cave and swim there.

What’s in a Name?
For this activity, imagine that you were allowed to change your name to anything that you wanted.
On your blog, tell us what you would change your name to and why you would choose that name.
If I had to change my name it would be...
Akosita because all my family members say that I look like her,I have her facials and my long hair. I haven't seen her yet even not in pictures but if I had to change my name it would hers!
INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS
On your blog, tell us three things that you learned from watching these videos, as well as one thing you would still like to know.
Venus Williams
Venus Williams is credited with helping pull off the Milestones Achievement, in 2005 Venus won by being the longest women in history for finals.
Serena Williams
Serena Williams had earned a lot of money well she was in the tennis career and she is the highest paid female in tennis also from winning 12 grand slams.
The William Sisters are professionals at tennis and they continue to break barriers in sport and beyond.
I bet there house is fulled up with a lot of trophies!
Achieving our Dreams
For this activity, choose a friend or family member and ask them what their dream job would be. Please then brainstorm six ways in which you could support them in achieving their dream job.
On your blog, present your ideas as a poster or info graphic.
So I asked my friend Jane through face time and she said her dream job is to be a Police Officer.
I can support her by encouraging her to never give up.
Telling her to study hard and get a good mark.
If she needs help I will help her through out her ways.
I can support her at her graduation.
If she needs help with the excising I can be there by her side.
And if she wants me to go with her I will be happy to be a police officer too.
I Think It's Important to chase your dreams!

Defying the Odds
For this activity, we would like you to imagine that you had the chance to interview LeBron James, Steven Adams or another basketball player of your choice.
On your blog, tell us who you would interview and then provide a list of five questions that you would like to ask your chosen player.
If I had to pick one basketball player to interview it would be Kobe Bryant even though he is not alive but if he was it would be him.
Questions
1. What inspired you to play basketball?
2. When did you have the dream to become a basketball legend?
3.Why did you retire from playing basketball?
4.How many training's did you have everyday?
5.Who's was your basketball fan when you were young?
TEAM PLAYERS
For this activity, let’s imagine that you could be a superhero for a day. What three superpowers would you most like to have?
On your blog, please list the three superpowers, tell us why you have chosen each one, and tell us what you are going to do with them.
Superpowers:
1. Brainy - so when someone doesn't know what something means I can just tell them what it means.
1. Brainy - so when someone doesn't know what something means I can just tell them what it means.
2. Solving things - So when a problem is happening I can solve it straight away
3. Invisibility - So I can Scare my sister on Halloween
What Superpower would you have?
Miracle on the Hudson
For this activity, we would like to hear about a time when you, or someone you know, was brave like Sully.
On your blog, recount a time when you (or someone else you know) did something brave.
Since I don't know any story but I think that Paknsave, Countdown and New World workers are really brave because I know they are scared but they want to go work and scan people's shopping's and work for hours waiting for the ques and lines to get smaller. So I would like to thank all the supermarkets for being brave and keep on going Kia Kaha.
Wear your mask and gloves and remember to wash your hands!
One Small Step for Man
For this activity, let’s imagine that you were Neil Armstrong.
On your blog, write a short poem describing how you felt when you first set foot on the moon. Here is a link to some different poetry forms.
When I took my first step onto the moon I felt my nerves bursting through my veins.
When I looked at my peers I was surprised that I have made it.
When I was on the MOON it felt like I was jumping on my brother's cozy bed.
When I Touched the Moon it was like I was playing with Kinetic Sand!
I Will never go back into space.
Up in the air
For this activity, compare and contrast these two aviators. You could use this Venn diagram.
On your blog, share your comparison between the two women and be sure to include at least three similarities and three differences between these two aviators.
The difference between the wonderful ladies is that Jean Batten was a famous aviator and Amelia was a American aviator. Amelia flied solo to Northern Island and Jean flew from England to New Zealand. Unfortunately Amelia Ended tragedy and have gone missing and never been found but Jean didn't go missing!
Amelia Earhart went missing in July 2 1937
